Does the use of shade cloth help reduce water evaporation?

The use of shade cloth does to some extent help reduce the evaporation of moisture. The main function of shade cloth is to block direct sunlight and reduce the direct heating effect of solar radiation on the ground or objects. When the sunlight is blocked by a shade cloth, the area below it will be relatively cool, the rate of temperature rise will slow down, and the humidity will remain relatively stable. A lower temperature means a reduced driving force for water evaporation, therefore, the use of shade cloth can indirectly slow down the rate of water evaporation. Especially in hot and dry environments, the effect of shade cloth is particularly significant, helping to maintain the moisture on the soil or object surface and reduce water resource loss caused by evaporation.
